The actuating handle is used for windows and doors provided with locking devices for given position. The actuating handle mechanism is economical to produce and it is easily operated. The locking washer (8) is connected with the neck of th actuating handle in the region of its pivoting bearing. The locking washer has on its circumference several notches which engage on rotation of the actuating handle with spring loaded locking bolts. Further radial rotation of the actuating handle is blocked when a locking bolt engages with a latch. The locking bolt has a stepped shape and it is supported with one face of a step on the surface of he rosette itself or one surface of the rosette body.
