In high-speed printers, an edge-perforated paper web (PB) is guided with the aid of advance means through the printing machine. In the process, driving pins engage in the transport holes (TL) and enlarge them. In order to improve the stackability of such a paper web (PB), devices are provided past which the paper web (PB) is guided before deposition with pressing, so that the enlargements at the transport holes (TL) are pressed down. Such devices can consist of two rolls (RL1, RL2) between which the paper web (PB) runs through. <IMAGE>
