Testing device for ignition distributors - has rotor on distributor shaft with scale marking angular positions of distributor shaft

The device has a signal generator (interrupter) for tripping the ignition process, and a distributor for ignition distribution to individual cylinders of an i.c. engine. A rotor rotates together with the distributor shaft, and has a scale and a light source. At least one mark (7) is provided on the rotor (5), illuminated by the fixed light source (10, 11) controlled by the signal generator (2). The illuminated mark (7) marks certain angular positions on the scale (8), and thus certain angular positions of the ignition distributor shaft (4).
