The design concerns a recuperative heat exchanger for use on closed circuit gas turbine and nuclear power plants with the aim to reduce the expansion-caused stresses on plant parts and building elements. Connection to further assemblies of the exchanger are carried out in an elastic fashion. The upper lid of the inlet header over its middle part is free from pipe connections. The lid together with the tube box is suspended on a grille structure which is direct connection with the external shell. The grille is provided with central cutouts through which the central tube is penetrating with a circumferential gap.
