摘要 A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to adjust a voltage level of an auxiliary electrode by responding a scan pulse in scan electrodes irrespective of an address pulse in data electrodes. A plasma display panel includes plural scan electrodes for selecting columns, plural data electrodes for selecting rows, and plural auxiliary electrodes(P) for generating priming discharges. A cross-sectional structure of two cells 50 that are arranged along an address electrode(A). Each of cells includes an address discharge unit controlled by the scan and data electrodes(G2), and a priming discharge unit(G3), which is controlled by the scan and auxiliary electrodes, performs easier discharge operations than the address discharge unit. For an addressing period, a voltage level of the auxiliary electrodes are controlled so as to execute a discharge operation in the priming discharge unit by responding a scan pulse in the scan electrodes irrespective of an address pulse in data electrodes.
