A resilient shaft coupling has two confronting flanges each provided with axially projecting lugs. The lugs of one flange engage between the lugs of the other flange and a resilient element is arranged between each lug of the one flange and the lug of the adjacent flange. Each lug of the one flange is embraced by a sheet metal sheat (11a) to which the two adjacent resilient elements are bonded. The sheath extends around the radially outer surface and the two radial surfaces of the lugs, and pref. has radially inner end portions bent against the radially inner surfaces of the lug.
