Packing for a piece of clothing such as a shirt or blouse includes a formed part deep drawn from a thermoplastic foil to suit the shape of the packed piece of clothing. The formed part is enclosed by a cover part. The piece of clothing consists of a first flat part and a second raised part adjoining the flat part. The raised part of the packing for the raised part of the piece of clothing is not longer than half of the length of the whole packing. The formed part is provided at a predetermined distance from a laterial axis projecting through middle point of the packing with a sump and with a vertical projection positioned symmetrically about the laterial axis to the sump.
