The roller shutter has hollow shaped slats secured against lengthways displacement, with one or more locking members inserted in slits cut in two adjacent hooked interlocking slats. The locking member (2) comprises a small metal plate with two shanks of unequal length, forming a small wedge angle before insertion int the slats (1). Their width matches that of the slit. Near the edge (24) facing the opposite shank (22), one shank (21) incorporates a shaped section which tapers in a wedge shape towards the other. The shorter shank length can equal the interval between a pair of lengthways cross arms (11, 13), while its broad sides enclose a small angle with the plane of the slit.
