<p>The adjustment gear is housed in a cover (5) on one side of the seat back rest. The seat back rest pivots on a normal bearer pin on the second side. The cover contains a plate (6) whose lower end forms a geared segment (7) off set to theplate's plane. A second plate (11) is pivoted by a bearer pin (9) between the cover (5) and the first plate to form a space for a spiral spring (13). A position locking system is provided by a catch (21) carried by the lower end of the pivot plate (18) and working with the geared segment (7). A hand lever (31) turns the second palte (11) anti-clockwise by means of a two armed lever (28, 29) meshing with the slot (30) in an extension (12) of the plate to release the catch.</p> |
