<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a paint composite article adhered on a body panel of an automobile by incorporating a thermally deformable carrier film having first and second surfaces, an adhesive layer laminated on the first surface, a tie coat layer laminated on the second surface, and a paint layer laminated on the coat layer. CONSTITUTION: The paint composite article comprises a carrier film 10. An adhesive layer 12 is laminated on one surface of the film 10, and a paint layer 14 is laminated on the other surface. The layer 14 has a colored layer 16 and a clear coat layer 18. A temporary support film 20 can be disposed at a lower side of the layer 12. The film 10 is made of a polymer film of a polyurethane, polyester or a blend of such polymer materials. The temporarily protective coat 20 is removed from the paint composite article. And the layer 12 is disposed on a base material to be covered. The article is heated to activate the adhesive, and the film 10 is deformed by heating. And, when it is pressure reduced, a form of the article is decided on the base material to obtain a body component of a painted automobile.</p> |
