[Also in Divisions B2 and C3] Articles may be made by sintering a uniform mixture of a finely-divided thermoplastic and 0À01-10% by wt. of the thermoplastic of a cross-linking agent which reacts with the thermoplastic at the sintering temperature while the mixture is accessible to the atmosphere. The mixture may also contain 0À2-5% blowing agent. In examples, articles of polyethylene were rotationally cast using dicumyl peroxide and t-butylperbenzoate as crosslinking agents, one example having three layers, the middle layer having a foamed structure. |
