<p>The cable stripping machine is designed to separate the steel core (5) of an aerial cable (6) and the helical wound aluminium conductor strands (7) surrounding the core (5). The machine has a perforated separation element (3) through which passes the steel core of the cable. The ends of the cable having first been splayed to separate the aluminium strands from the core. The separation element is associated with a tension system (17, 18) which advances the steel core (5) through the separation element (3). The separation element (3) is also associated with a cutter (8) which cuts the aluminium strands separated from the core (5).</p> |
