The use of a compound of formula (II) is proposedin which R is a moiety selected from the group C-C-alkyl and C-C-alkylene-phenyl, each optionally can be substituted by hydroxy or C-C-alkoxy, or an acid addition salt or hydrate thereof, optionally in the form of the acid addition salts thereof as well as optionally in the form of the hydrates thereof, as an initial material for producing tropenol having pharmacological properties such as, for example, tiotropium bromide, ipratropium bromide and BEA2108, preferably tiotropium bromide. |
