Recovering dressing materials used on textiles - from solvents for sponging process, by injecting solvent into hot water

Dressing materials (e.g. synthetic resins) used on textile fabrics are recovered during a sponging process. The sponging solvent contains the dressing materials in soln. and is fed through nozzles into hot water in a distn. chamber, and steam is injected through nozzles into the hot water. The hot water is added through nozzles. The solvent evaporates off and is collected whilst the dressing material collects on the surface of the water and passes as e.g. an overflow into a separator chamber where it is filtered out. The water is recycled. The solvent is completely purified and suitable for reuse in the sponging operation.
