<p>The equipment comprises a cylindrical filter sleeve, pref. with a rear vertical axis, within a filter chamber. Within the sleeve is a scraper located coaxially with the sleeve and extending over its entire length. The textile waste is trapped against the wall of the filter sleeve and then scraped off by the scraper. It is carried down by a conveyor and collected in sacks at the bottom. The scraper and the conveyor are driven by a motor, the speed of which can be controlled and which is reversable. The apparatus can be run continuously without risk of clogging. It combines the role of filter and conveyor and it is possible for the conveyor to additionally assume the role of a compactor.</p> |
