Suction cup operated by external lever - has fins on edge of casing which project into suction rubber and prevent rotation

The suction cup consists of a housing (1) in which is a suction pad (2) connected by a lifting arm (4) to an operating shaft (5). Around the edge of the housing are fins (7). On operating the lever (5), the fins are depressed into the rubber suction pad. This prevents rotation of the suction cup during the application of the lever and during the time that suction is applied.
