Toothed rotor pump for powdered substances - has resilient membranes forming part of feed and delivery tubes, preventing clogging

The pump for powdery materials is designed for incorporation in a conveying line, and is also intended to prevent clogging. The central part of the body (1) is mounted on a pedestal and has an elongated chamber (2) deep enough to hold two toothed rotors (3.4) with lobed meshing teeth. Both the feed and delivery tubes (12) are connected to corresponding tape red tubes (12a), one each side. A gap (10) each side is bridged by a member (11) connecting these tubes to the chamber. The resilience of these membranes prevents clogging. The toothed rotors may be of neoprene with an addition of MoS2, or the teeth may carry replaceable tips of similar material. A valve (14) is fitted for entry of air to produce fluidisation of the powder.
