<p>The safety device is for personnel working at the receiving stations of a goods lift. It has a barrier, shut automatically when the lift is not present at the station concerned. The barrier can be formed by a screen accommodating the lift, with two barriers opposite or at right angles to each other. The barriers can be interlocked so that one is open while the other is shut, and vice versa. Each barrier can comprise a bar, with fittings on it, folded against when it is raised into the open position. Means can also be provided for protection against shock loads due to oscillation of the load, between lift platform and screen when the platform is at the receiving station.</p> |
