The flow limiting valve has a cylindrical body (1) with screwed end caps. An inner sleeve (4) is clamped between the end caps (2, 3) and sealed with O-rings (6). The sleeve (4) is provided with four holes (10, 11) at each end. A plug (5) is free to slide within the inner cylinder and its travel is limited by the abutments (2b, 3b) of the end caps. As fluid flows through the inlet (9) it maintains the plug (5) in a position between the two sets of holes. When the flow exceeds the pre-set value the pressure difference across the plug increases so that it is pushed upwards and blocks the outlet (13) and shuts off the flow completely.
|
