An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent flickers by reciprocally converting brightness between adjacent regions of odd and even number frames. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a frame processing unit(210), a timing controller(220), and a data driver(230). The frame processing unit generates even-numbered and odd-numbered frames by speeding up frame frequency of a current frame, separates regions from the even-numbered and odd-numbered frames, converts pixels in odd-numbered and even-numbered regions of the sped up odd-numbered frames into first and second gray scales, and converts pixels in odd-numbered and even-numbered regions of the sped up even-numbered frames into second and first gray scales, respectively. The timing controller controls the driving timing of odd-numbered frames having the sped up gray scale value. The data driver drives the sped up odd-numbered and even-numbered frames to an LCD panel(110).
