The stackable packing comprises a tubular sleeve of rectangular cross-section, and a box, open at one side, sliding into the sleeve and accommodating the item. The box (2) is of a size such as to take one item (3), while the sleeve (1) accommodates several boxes in a row. It has perforations (4, 5) running in the peripheral direction at the levels of the adjacent box sidewalls, so that it can be broken off at this point. The perforation can extend round the three sides, while along the fourth, preferably the top, a continuous cut line is formed. There can be a window in the top of the sleeve, level with each box, formed by transparent sheet material.
