发明名称 Abrasive material comprising particles coated with silicon alloy - has high strength due to high ductility coating
摘要 <p>An abrasive material which is in the form of individual particles coated with a Si-alloy contg. >=1 of Cu, Ag, Au, Al and a transition metal from Groups IV to VIII contains, in the alloy coating, 2-80% w.r.t. the total wt. of the coating, >=1 of Ga, In, Th, Ge, Sn, Pb, P, Sb, Te and S. The coating is 0.01-1000 mu thick. The material can be used for producing abrasive tools which can be bonded with organic resins, ceramics or metals. The abrasive can be used to machine materials normally difficult to work e.g. diamond. The alloy coating bonds well to the substrate e.g. diamond. The coating has a high ductility and increases the strength of the abrasive material and the m.pt. of the coating is lower.</p>
