Remote tuning of organ - uses individual reeds which may be tuned by moving clamping roller slide with small DC motor

Tuning of an organ is effected from the keyboard to activate individual motors to move clamping rollers on the reeds. Each reed (1) is held against a channel (2) by two roller sets (3) mounted on a slide (5). The rollers have a pair of tensioning springs (4) that maintain contact with the reed. The slide (5) is coupled to a spindle (6) driven by a small d.c. motor. The d.c. motors coupled to any of the reeds may be activated from the keyboard to allow the correct note and tone to be reproduced by moving the slide.
