<p>The mechanism has a control loop which changes the speed of the belt conveyor when the gravimetric conveying force deviates from the nominal value. The driving motor is a squirrel-cage motor and the clutch is a control clutch which acts as the control element in the control loop. The control clutch can also be an induction clutch esp. an eddy-current clutch. The speed of the driven side of the control clutch which is proportional to the rated, or normal speed of the drive pulley of the belt conveyor can be lower than the constant speed of the squirrel-cage motor.</p> |
