<p>Shuttle with clamping jaws in each separate part of shuttle adjacent the weft spool carrying head has a recess in the head across the gap between the 2 shuttle parts. The end regions of the recess are enlarged c.f. its middle part. In the recess is mounted a flexible clamping element with support heads at both ends, for clamping the shuttle parts together. The clamping element is a bolt and nut made of an elastic material. Pref. the bolts head is non-circular and its screw thread of square section. The connector is more reliable than a press fastener and more adjustable than a bolt and nut with spring washer.</p> |
