The stamped out connector is stamped from strip metal in such a way that a minimum amount of material is wasted. The connector has a contact (2) at one end and a part (3) to which a wire can be attached at the other end. The connector further has an extension (4) which can be pushed into a groove in a plastic housing. The metal connector is stamped out by a tool, which first stamps out small discs (6) followed by small rectangles (13) after which the whole connector is punched out. To simplify the stamping operation, the connector has an extension (4) at one side and a complementary cut-out (10) at the other side. |
