PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of aliasing on the boundary of the converted image by allotting prescribed image data which is decided in advance to image element data positioned outside of an input screen among four mapping image data positioned around respective image elements on an output screen. CONSTITUTION:The image data where the co-ordinate of the input image is converted is outputted from a mapping memory 3 corresponding to the image element position of the output image and then, the image conversion is performed. And when the image data is interpolated and calculated, switches S1 - S4 are switched by a controller 6 and the image data equivalent to a background set in advance is selected and then, the interpolating operation is performed when the image data positioned outside the input screen is outputted. That means, when a part of four input image data is outside the input screen, the interpolating operation is performed with the input image data and border data. Thus, the boundary can be formed so as to become a smooth edge because both data become the mixed image data. |
