<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining influence of wind on a window blind or the like, a detection device having a sensor means for measuring influence of wind and a device for protecting a window blind or the like, wherein restrictions on installation of the sensor means are eliminated and a uniform detection sensitivity can be attained irrespectively of the orientation of the sensor means. <P>SOLUTION: In determining the influence of wind on a window blind or the like having a sensor means 231 for measuring the influence of the wind in the first measuring direction X<SB>1</SB>and the second measuring direction Y<SB>1</SB>, the method for determining the influence of wind comprises the steps of collecting a first signal representing the influence of the wind on the blind or the like in the first measuring direction, collecting a second signal representing the influence of the wind on the blind or the like in the second direction and processing the first and the second signals to obtain the uniform detection sensitivity irrespectively of the orientation of the sensor means for giving a secondary signal representing the influence of the wind and having no relation to the orientation of the in-plane sensor means defined by the first measuring direction and the second measuring direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
