<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method, capable of performing sufficient bonding of ribs when the ribs extending between parts to be mutually welded are present. <P>SOLUTION: In the welding method of a golf club head 10 for welding a metallic part 10F having a part rib FR on the reverse side thereof to a metallic head body 10H having body ribs HR1 and HR2 provided in positions where the respective end surfaces face the part rib adjacently or in contact in a state where the metallic part is attached to the head body, a weld object edge line FL of a main body part of the part except the part rib is formed in a dimensional shape having spaces W1, W2 and W1' from the head body, the space W2 in the facing position where the part rib faces each body rib is set larger than the dimensions of the spaces W1 and W1' near the facing position except to the vicinity of the facing position to form a large space part SP, and the part rib and the body rib are exposed to the large space part.
