<p>1494533 3,15 - Dialkylprostadienoic acid derivatives YAMANOUCHI PHARMACEUTICAL CO Ltd 5 Nov 1975 45944/75 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] The invention comprises 3,15-dialkylprostadienoic acid derivatives of the formula wherein one of A and B is wherein OR<SP>3</SP> is a free, esterified or etherified hydroxy group, and the other one of A and B is C 2 O ; R<SP>1</SP> is H or C 1-4 alkyl ; R<SP>2</SP> is C 1-4 alkyl, and one of R<SP>4</SP> and R<SP>5</SP> is a free, esterified or etherified hydroxy group and the other one of R<SP>4</SP> and R<SP>5</SP> is C 1-4 alkyl and the pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof when R<SP>1</SP> is hydrogen and their preparation by oxidizing compounds of the formula wherein one of M and N is and the other is and if desired, removing any protecting groups present. Pharmaceutical compositions, in the form of tablets, capsules or syrups, contain the above prostaglandins with pharmaceutical carriers. The compounds possess anti-ulcer activity.</p> |
