发明名称 AUTOMATIC CHOKE VALVE APPARATUS FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
摘要 1494680 Automatic choke system HONDA GIKEN KOGYO KK 14 March 1975 [15 March 1974] 10875/75 Heading F1H The action of a choke valve in an I.C. engine is controlled by a control circuit via a reversible pulse motor in response to command signals representing: - closure of the ignition switch, activation of the engine starter, initial firing of the engine, and predetermined duration of continuous firing of the engine. The choke assembly, Fig. 1, comprises a choke valve 2 driven open via linkage 10, 13, 14 by a pulse motor 5, through the interengaging lugs 8, 9 and driven shut through the coil spring 7. The latter allows the valve 2 to close and the pulse motor to wind up the spring to increase the force holding the valve shut. This will continue to the point where the pulse motor stalls. The control circuitry Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown) comprise a series of switching relays connecting capacitance and resistance &c. to the pulse motor to drive it at the required speed in the required direction and a logic circuit which interprets the command signals and energizes the appropriate relays. In operation the action of the choke is as follows:- Fig. 5 - on closure of the ignition switch, the pulse motor drives the shaft 6 in the closing direction at a speed corresponding to the line AB through a choke closed position to a pulse motor stalled region BC. At C activation of the starter, causes the shaft to be driven for a predetermined time in the opening direction at a speed controlled by engine temperature corresponding to the line C, D. After said predetermined time the motor is stopped until at E the engine fires. The shaft then drives at a speed for a predetermined time corresponding to the point F. If the engine is still firing when the position F is reached the shaft drives the choke valve to full open corresponding to the line FG at a rate governed by engine temperature. The portions CD and FG differ in gradient since the pulse motor is set for a higher basic speed during the CD phase. The choke arrangement may be used in a carburetter for an engine having main and subsidiary combustion chambers, Fig. 7 where a second choke valve 2a is driven through a lost motion linkage 45. The arrangement is such that other than at fully open or closed choke valve 2a will be open more than choke valve 2, Fig. 9 (not shown).
