FIELD: automotive industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, particularly to automotive vented brake drums. Proposed drum comprises orifices for substances to be thrown from the drum inside that hinder friction and facilitate wear of friction pairs. Vent orifices are directed perpendicular to rotational axis of vented brake drum and are distributed directly on working surface. Vent orifice sizes are selected to preserve strength properties of the brake drum and allow removal materials that hinder friction and facilitate wear of friction pairs. Sum of vent orifice diameters exceeds the width of vented drum working surface width so that vent orifice trajectories overlap each other by at least 1 mm. ^ EFFECT: higher efficiency and stability, longer life. ^ 5 cl, 3 dwg |
