A method for preparing a composition for a cosmetic product or a health food, and a composition prepared by the method are provided to increase the content of active ingredients and to reduce the breakage of bioactive substances. A method for preparing a composition for a cosmetic product or a health food comprises the steps of adding 0.5-8 parts by weight of a proteinase and 30-60 parts by weight of water to 40-60 parts by weight of a placenta powder to hydrolyze it; concentrating the hydrolyzed product under reduced pressure; and freeze-drying the concentrated product.
