<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture by providing a by-path passage which bypasses the fan of a supercharger, installing on the way a valve body mounted on a diaphragm driven by the differential pressure between upstream and downstream sides, and making the diaphragm mounting surface flush with the valve seat surface of a housing. CONSTITUTION:In the housing 31 of a supercharger, the first and second by-path passages 34, 35 are formed, and in the housing 31, a case 36 is fixed through a diaphragm 38. The edge of the second by-path 35 is takes as a valve seat part 39 which is flush with the surface of the housing 31 where the diaphragm 38 is installed to make into contact with a valve body 40 installed on the diaphragm 38, and the diaphragm is forced in the closing direction of the valve body 40 by action of a spring 42. At the time of middle and high load duty operation, a throttle valve is closed immediately, and when negative intake pressure increases, the pressure in the second by-path passages 35 increases to become positive high pressure, so that the valve body 40 opens, and pressurized air is circulated between by-path passages 34, 35. It is thus possible to prevent the pressure on the upstream side of the throttle valve from increasing.</p> |
