<p>Powder of beta-1,4 glucan is added to powder of a 4n+3 decay series e.g. uranium, kneading the mixture with water or organic solvent, forming the mixture into particles, drying the particles, heating the particles at 450 degrees C in an inert gas atmosphere, and further heating at 800-1200 degrees C. The composition and density of nuclear fuel particles is easily controlled. The spherical particles are easily made.</p> |
