The vizor is worn by the driver of a vehicle to prevent dazzle and has a metal frame with hinged side arms (4). The nose piece (16) comprises two pads, adjustable for width. This frame carries a subframe (2) which supports the vizor itself and is pivoted to the side arms of the main frame by means of friction hinges (3, 31, 5). These enable the vizor to be adjusted vertically and remain in position. The front of the vizor has an opening in front of each eye. This is closed, partially or completely, by tinted eyeshields (8) which can be adjusted laterally and locked by screws.
