<p>The packing is used to support pharmaceutical ampoules and similar items during storage and transportation. Each packing is delivered already assembled and folded flat, erection being confined to pulling each end up and outwards to give raised supports for the tips of the ampoules. When erected, the packing has a flat central area (2) with vertical end walls (3) pierced with keyhole shaped slots for the ampoules. The areas between the slots are extended outwards to form diagonal supports (5) which terminate (7, 8) in tongues (12) corresponding to the slots. These tongues are glued under the central flat area to hold the ends rigid.</p> |
