A method for extracting a red insam (ginseng steamed red) extract is provided to improve extraction efficiency and to prevent the generation of an acid in the extract. A method for extracting a red insam extract comprises the steps of putting undried insam, ginseng Radix alba, ginseng Radix Palva and red insam with water into a pressure vessel; injecting carbon dioxide into the pressure vessel; heating it at a certain temperature to extract it; and opening the pressure vessel to remove carbon dioxide. Preferably the pH of water is changed by varying the pressure of carbon dioxide in the pressure vessel. |
