The attachment (1) consists of plastic and has the shape of a hollow closure stopper to be fitted onto a container neck. Said closure stopper has a hollow space (4) which is closed in the vertical position of the attachment by a ball valve (3) under the effect of gravity. By tilting the container and holding the container and thus the fitted-on attachment (1) in an oblique position, the ball valve (3) firstly opens and the liquid can flow from the container into the hollow space (4). After it has been filled, the attachment (1) is placed vertically again and the ball valve (3) closes the hollow space (4) with the dose of liquid located therein. The attachment (1) can now be removed and emptied at the place where it is used by tilting it. Such an attachment is principally suitable for metering washing and cleaning agents bought in bottles. <IMAGE>
