A reverse traveling prevention system is provided to prevent an accident due to the reverse travelling by transmitting the information about the reverse travelling to a control center and generating the first to third alarms. A sensor(200) senses the reverse traveling of the vehicle. A controller(201) successively controls the signal detected from the sensor. A first alarming part(202) receives the signal from the controller and generates a first alarm. A second alarming part(203) receives the signal from the controller after receiving the first alarm and generates a second alarm. A third alarming part(204) receives the control signal of the controller when the vehicle travels reversely after receiving the second alarm and generates a third alarm. A communication unit(205) transmits the time and the position of the reverse travelling to a control center.
