摘要 <p>The frequency of a steel flexure oscillator or resonator is automatically adjusted during manufacture to achieve a predetermined nominal frequency. A high energy laser beam vapourises a calculated quantity of material from the front face of the oscillator to obtain the desired frequency. The flexure oscillator is clamped such that material can be removed from its front face by a beam from a laser. A measurement laser which controls galvanometer motors via a processor ensures a predetermined vaporising zone is presented to the laser beam. Correct frequency is obtained automatically by sensing oscialltion frequency by microphones and applying these signals to the processor for calculation of target area and duration of laser shot.</p>
