<p>The mobile drilling rig with a jib which is swung up from a horizontal travelling position to a vertical working position to a vertical working position has hoist mechanism as well as the crank drive for applying a reciprocating force to the drilling member all mounted near the hinge point of the jib. The input unit has its frame (8) mounted on the jib itself, carrying the drive motor (9) and the cable guide roller (14). This roller is mounted between crank arms with the crankshaft (11) passing through a pinion (12) directly driven by it. This is driven by a chain (10) mounted on the motor spindle. The guide roller is mounted on bearings between the crank arms.</p> |
