<p>A turret collet chuck accepts both sides of a disc shaped workpiece, at a simplified turn-over station between turret machining stations, eliminating transition between two tooling sets with faster production. Peripherally sprung fingers enter the collet jaws gaps, grasp, retract, turn over and reload. Three cams time the unclamping, axial movements and reclamping. A work (19) turn-over station (4) indexes to a turn-over gripper (20) on a slide (28). Drum cam followers (40, 41, 42) actuate a collet (8) clamping lever (16), the slide, and a slide-mounted spring (73) cushioned push loading rod (30). Chamfered fingers (23) move axially, with the slide. A magnet (34) rotates the gripper spindle (33).</p> |
