<p>The window comprises a sheet of glass surrounded, around its perimeter, by a thin metal alloy framework which has appropriate elastic characteristics and a U-section. The framework (12) has one long leg with a bent edge (19) which fits over one side of the glass (11), the leg also having a narrow depression (20) which forms a line of demarcation between painted and non-painted zones. The other leg is shorter and fits over the other side of the glass. The framework is mounted on the glass by a series of clips (26) made from narrow metal strip, which are fixed by adhesive at intervals along the glass and have projections (27-29) which engage with the framework and the glass.</p> |
