Coal crusher used on coal face - has vertical shaft at diverting point from long wall to drift and deflecting shell at distance

The coal crusher for use at the coal face has design features which prevents coal damming up and improves the passability of the drifT. The crusher drum (20) contains electric motors (21, 22). Motor (21) has toothed wheel (25) on its shaft end (24). The wheel is in mesh with wheel (26) which drive hydrodynamic clutch (27) via shaft (27). The output end of the clutch has shaft (29) with toothed wheel (30) fitted. The toothed wheel (30) is in mesh and with gear (31) fitted inside the crusher roller (20). The shaft (4) is fitted with crusher drum (20) rotating at high speed which carry crusher arms (35). The arms have the contour of a logarithmic spiral (36) with tips shaped in a hammer like manner (37). This shape results in an initial pressure action on the material to be crushed ending up with a superimposed impact action.
