<p>The door case has a U-sectioned mirroring unit of shaped sheet metal running round the doorway, consisting of a horizontal headpiece and two bars assembled withs this, all mitre cut. The connecting elements on these are in the form of one or more pairs of retainer plates, fitting against the headpiece (2) or bar (4) mirroring unit, overlapping the mitering, and passing through each other. One of these plates (10) incorporates a slit (12) near one end, and the other (8) has a fishplate (16) at its end, in the plane of the sheet metal, passing through the slit, where it can be twisted. The connecting elements are inexpensive, provide firm fixture and are easily activated.</p> |
