<p>Propulsion and agglomeration section for wet dust suppressor, e.g. for mines, comprises a water ring nozzle surrounding the propellant jet of pressurised air at its exit. In an example, the propellant jet is discharged with max. efficiency by supplying air at a given point to the propellant jet nozzle, and is moistened by high water press, which is supplied at, through the ring nozzle assembly, so as to obtain a high level of agglomeration even in the zone of max. expansion. In this way the trailing effect of the propellant jet is affected only slightly while max. confrontation is forced between the rapid-flowing water-air mixt. and the noxious materials e.g. dust.</p> |
