The orthodontic device for attachment to the head and/or neck of a patient comprises a support (11) which conforms to the head or neck and which bears an elastic expandable component (19) to the ends of which are force-fitted connectors (22) for connection to an orthodontic regulator. - In the path of a pair of springs, are scales (35) with pref. consists of a pair of springs, are scales (35) with adjoining markers, one of the scales and its coacting marker serving to indicate the force applied to the connectors by the elastic component. The support is pref. a belt to which are fixed the adjacent ends of the springs, while their other ends are moved relative to the belt by tensioning of the springs.
