The heater is used to heat water to a selectable temperature. There is a coil (2) which has a magnetic core (3). The magnetic core is placed in the flow of water to be heated and its resistance determines maximum heating power. The reactance of the coil (2) with the core (3) is adjustable. The adjustment system includes a temperature sensor (7) in the hot stream which is connected to a control element (6). The coil reactance at required temperature is higher than at lower temperatures.
