Coal plough with baseplate - has slide rail leg at side and over chain guide channels and connected to channel spacer

Coal plough has base plate connected at the waste side to the haulage chain running in a system of superposed channels. Plough and base plate ride on a slide rail which passes below the conveyor to form a web limit at the face and is hinged to the chain guide at the waste side. A leg fitted to the rail arches up alongside the chain channels to join via the hinge connection above the lower channel to a spacer used to space the chain guide channels. The hinge joint should be mounted on the spacer roughly level with the conveyor pan. The upper chain channel should be covered above by a flange secured to either spacer or rail leg so that the flange acts as an end stop for the swivel movement between rail and conveyor.
